And there are more ways to help too!  We have just a few fundraising events each year to keep us moving forward.  It takes LOTS of volunteers to successfully put on The Turkey Ride, The Bike Brunch and The Everglades Ride and we need you!  No experience is necessary!

Our members are always welcome to sit in on an NPC Board of Directors meeting.  We usually meet the second Monday of each month at 5:30 pm at the Hilton.  Please e-mail Info@naplespathways.org if you plan to attend and I can get you an agenda and confirm the meeting location and time.

We also need help getting the word out about NPC and what we're doing!  Tell your friends and neighbors about Naples Pathways Coalition, refer them to our web site, and invite them to our events.  

To get our mission and message out to the community, our Directors speak to local civic and community clubs (Rotary and Kiwanis Clubs, Home Owner Associations, PTO's, church and neighborhood groups, etc.) so if you belong to a group like this, talk to your group about having Michelle come speak at your next meeting, then e-mail Info@naplespathways.org with an invitation!

Talk to your employer about the BENEFITS OF BECOMING AN NPC EVENT SPONSOR!

We hold Bike Safety Clinics for kids to help them learn to bike and walk more safely.  These events are usually for just a few hours.  We have the props and information - we usually just need some adults who like kids and can help them walk their bikes through a series of common situations that can be dangerous - all in the safety of a sectioned off parking lot.  If this seems like a good fit for you, email Info@naplespathways.org and let me know BIKE RODEOS are where you want to help.

ADVOCACY is the heart of our organization and WE NEED EVERYONE to participate!  It's not as intimidating as it may seem.  When there are issues related to pathways and the needs of pedestrians and cyclists before our City and County government leaders, we will post ACTION ALERTS on this web site and e-mail them to our membership.  We will ask you to e-mail City Council, the Mayor, the County Commissioners and / or state and federal officials so that the voice of pathways supporters is heard.  It makes even more of an impact when our members attend City Council and County Commission meetings and use the 2-3 minutes we are each allowed to personally ask them to support the specific concern at issue.  They are elected officials and they are tasked with speaking for their constituents.  To live in the kind of community you want, you need to participate in local government and voice your requests and concerns.  It pays off!
